The usb charging is critical. The little springy charger contacts will stop working, only a matter of time. Planned obsolescence as far as I'm concerned. The longer battery life is great, too. I'll give one a try, but got some mixed reviews.

It only works, if your both laptop has thunderbolt ports. What with the older desktop computers? will it work?

The problem with all RainPoint systms is you have no control if you're away from your home say on vacation. There is no way to connect to the hub remotely out of your router range.

Bad quality... Resolution is 320x240 and subtitles are unreadable watching a movie. Picture is blurry and sound is very soft. I would not recomment buying this.... not even for under 50 dollar.
